Engine Sump for the 2.4L and 2.2L Duratorq TDCi Puma diesel engines, bolted to the base of the cylinder block.
The sump forms the oil reservoir at the bottom of the engine, collecting oil returning from the valvetrain and bearings and holding it at the pick-up where the oil pump draws from. It seals the lower crankcase and carries the drain plug for oil changes.
