Crankshaft Oil Seal - Rear - Heavy Duty for the rear crankshaft oil sealing assembly of the 300 TDi engine.
Seated in the rear crankshaft seal housing at the flywheel end of the engine, this radial lip seal closes the gap between the rotating crankshaft and the housing bore, preventing engine oil from migrating rearward into the bellhousing and clutch assembly.
This heavy-duty version has two additional mounting holes at the bottom of the seal carrier: fitting requires modifying the main bearing cap by drilling and tapping the two extra holes. The companion gasket is ERR6811.
