Frequently asked questions

What is the upper front suspension arm and what does it do?
The upper front suspension arm locates the top of the front hub carrier to the chassis on the Discovery 3 and Discovery 4, controlling the upper wheel geometry through suspension travel. It pivots on bushes at the chassis mountings and connects to the hub carrier through an integral ball joint.
Is this for the left or right side?
This is the right-hand side upper front arm. Suspension arms are side-specific, so it fits the RH front corner of the Discovery 3 (to VIN 9A999999) and Discovery 4. Order the correct side for your corner.
What are the signs it needs replacing?
Worn arm bushes or a worn integral ball joint typically give knocking over bumps, steering play and uneven front tyre wear on the Discovery 3 and 4. Because the ball joint is integral, the complete arm is renewed as a unit.
