Oil Temperature Switch - Gearbox Oil Cooler in the automatic transmission cooling circuit.
This switch is mounted on the gearbox oil cooler and monitors transmission fluid temperature. It forms part of the transmission thermal management system on Discovery 2 Td5 and petrol engines. Early-VIN vehicles fitted with this switch used it to signal overtemperature conditions in the automatic transmission oil cooler circuit.
Note: the Td5 application applies to vehicles to VIN 4A869986; the petrol application to VIN 3A836442.
