ABS Sensor - Front for Defenders equipped with automatic transmission.
This wheel speed sensor mounts at the front axle hub and continuously monitors wheel rotational speed. The signal is transmitted to the ABS control module, which compares readings from all four wheels during braking to detect impending lock-up. When lock-up risk is identified, the module modulates brake hydraulic pressure to maintain wheel rotation and steering control. Where traction and stability control systems are fitted, the sensor also provides essential speed input to those functions.
