Hylomar Universal Blue is een niet-uithardende pakkingafdichtingskit voor gebruik op pakkingen en machinaal bewerkte metalen voegoppervlakken in automobiel- en technische toepassingen.

Omdat het niet uithardt, is de montagetijd onbeperkt en kunnen de koppelelementen thermisch uitzetten, terwijl een lekvrije afdichting behouden blijft. Het is bestand tegen brandstoffen, koelvloeistoffen en smeermiddelen, weerstaat continue temperaturen tot 250°C en wordt niet beïnvloed door trillingen. Verbindingen kunnen eenvoudig weer worden gescheiden voor onderhoud.

What is Hylomar Universal Blue (RTC3347) used for?

Hylomar Universal Blue is a non-setting gasket jointing compound for machined metal joint faces throughout the engine, gearbox and drivetrain. Unlike RTV sealants it never fully hardens, keeping joints cleanly separable for future service. Supplied in a 100g tube.

Can Hylomar Universal Blue be used with an existing gasket?

Yes. Apply it thinly to either side of a gasket or directly between machined joint faces without a gasket. It fills minor surface irregularities and resists fuels, coolants and lubricants. Its non-setting nature means the joint can always be dismantled without damage.

What temperatures and conditions can Hylomar Universal Blue handle?

Hylomar Universal Blue withstands continuous temperatures up to 250°C, resists fuels, coolants and lubricants, and is unaffected by vibration. It's suitable for engine, gearbox, axle and drivetrain joints across the Defender, Discovery 1 and 2, Range Rover Classic, P38 and Freelander.
