Core Plug - Cylinder Head A 7/8" diameter core plug (welch/expansion plug) that seals a casting core hole in the cylinder head.

It closes the openings left in the head's coolant passages by the casting process and acts as a frost plug, giving way to relieve pressure should the coolant freeze. Used on four-cylinder diesel engine applications.
