Bush - Low Gear Wheel is a gearbox internal bush fitted to the low gear wheel in the Series 2 and Series 3 manual gearbox on 109-inch 1-ton Land Rovers.
The bush locates within the low gear wheel and provides a bearing surface where the gear rotates on the layshaft or mainshaft, controlling radial play and supporting smooth low-range gear engagement. Replacement is required when wear results in excessive gear rattle, difficulty engaging low range, or bearing noise from within the gearbox.
