U-Bolt for the leaf spring suspension, clamping the front leaf spring to the axle. This is the short, round-top type with a 7/16" BSF thread.

It passes over the axle and down through the spring seat plate; tightening the nuts on its threaded legs clamps the spring firmly to the axle and locates the axle against the spring. It is used as a set with the matching spring plate and nuts.

Frequently asked questions

What is the U-Bolt (543108) used for?
The U-Bolt clamps the front leaf spring to the axle on the leaf-sprung suspension. It passes over the axle and down through the spring seat plate, and tightening the nuts on its threaded legs clamps the spring firmly to the axle and locates the axle against the spring.
Which Land Rovers does this U-bolt fit?
This U-bolt fits the Land Rover Series 2 and 2A 1958-1971, 88-inch wheelbase models only. It's the short, round-top pattern used on the front leaf spring of those vehicles.
How many U-bolts are needed for the job?
Typically used as a set with the matching spring plate and nuts. Each leaf spring is clamped to the axle by U-bolts, so a full axle replacement usually needs several rather than a single bolt.
