Roller Fairlead - zinc coated - for steel cable winches.

This four-roller fairlead mounts to the front of a winch bumper and guides the steel cable onto the drum during retrieval, reducing wear on the cable and preventing it from piling up off-centre. The aperture measures 180 mm and the mounting holes are spaced 255 mm apart.

The zinc coating provides corrosion resistance for outdoor and off-road use. Compatible with DB8000, DB9500, DB900C, and DB12000 winches. Not suitable for use with synthetic rope - roller fairleads are for steel cable only.

Frequently asked questions

What is a roller fairlead used for?
A roller fairlead guides the steel winch cable onto the drum during retrieval, mounting to the front of a winch bumper. Its four rollers reduce wear on the cable and stop it piling up off-centre, which helps the line spool evenly under load.
Does the roller fairlead suit steel or synthetic cable?
Roller fairleads like this are made for steel winch cable, where the rollers protect the wire as it feeds in. Synthetic rope is usually run with a hawse fairlead instead, so match the fairlead type to the cable you're using on your winch.
What does the zinc coating do on this fairlead?
The zinc coating gives the roller fairlead corrosion resistance for outdoor and off-road use, where it's exposed to water, mud and road salt. That helps the rollers keep turning freely and slows rust on the frame compared with an uncoated fairlead.
