Drive Pin Fastener is a two-piece push-in fixing used to retain interior trim and ducting panels.

The fastener body is pushed through aligned holes in the panel and supporting structure; driving the central pin home expands the body so it grips behind the panel and locks in place. It is used to secure items such as the parcel tray and heater duct trim, providing a quick blind fixing where access to the back of the panel is restricted. The pin can be backed out to release the fastener for removal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RTC3750 drive pin fastener and what does it do?
The RTC3750 is a two-piece push-in fastener that retains interior trim and ducting panels. You push the body through aligned holes, then drive the centre pin home to expand the body so it grips behind the panel. It gives a quick blind fixing where the back of the panel can't be reached.
Where is the RTC3750 fastener used?
The RTC3750 secures interior trim on the Defender, including the parcel tray and heater duct trim, and was also used on Range Rover Classic front seats. It suits spots where access behind the panel is restricted and a standard nut and bolt won't fit.
Can the RTC3750 drive pin fastener be reused?
Yes, the RTC3750 pin can be backed out to release the fastener for removal. The plastic can fatigue or crack once it has been expanded, though, so it's typically worth having replacements to hand rather than relying on reusing every one.
Does the RTC3750 fit all Range Rover Classic models?
On the Range Rover Classic the RTC3750 was used up to VIN HA610293 (1986 to 1991 front seats). Later build changes can mean a different fixing, so check the existing fastener against this push-pin design if your Classic is a later car.
