Ignition Condenser for the contact-breaker distributor, of the Lucas type, supplied with a long lead (17-7/8 in).

Wired across the contact-breaker points, the condenser absorbs the surge of current as the points open, suppressing arcing to protect the contacts from burning and to produce a clean, strong spark at the plugs. The extended lead suits distributors with an externally mounted condenser.
