Free-Wheeling Hub Kit - manually operated locking front hubs for a 24-spline front axle, fitted to the front stub axle in place of the standard driving flange.
With the hub set to free, the front axle shaft is disconnected from the road wheel, so the axle shafts, front differential and front propshaft no longer turn when four-wheel drive is not in use. Setting the hub to lock re-engages drive to the wheel. This removes drag and rotating wear from the front driveline during normal road use.
Supplied as a pair, one hub per front wheel. Both hubs must be set to the same position before four-wheel drive is selected.
