Description:
Banjo Bolt - M10 is the hollow fastener used to secure the oil feed pipe at the block-to-head junction in the lubrication circuit of the 2.25L and 2.5L 4-cylinder diesel engines.

The banjo bolt passes through the eye of the banjo fitting on the oil feed pipe and threads into the mating port on the cylinder block or cylinder head face, clamping the assembly against a pair of sealing washers to maintain an oil-tight connection. A metric M10 thread form is used on these engines. Replacement is typically required when the bolt or its sealing faces show damage, thread wear, or signs of oil seepage at the banjo joint.
