Park Switch for the front windscreen wash/wipe system.

The park switch sets the rest position of the wiper blades. When the wipers are switched off it signals the wiper motor to complete the current sweep and return the blades to the foot of the windscreen, rather than stopping them mid-stroke.

Frequently asked questions

What does the LR057182 park switch do on the Defender?
The LR057182 park switch signals the front wiper motor to return the blades to the parked position when the wipers are switched off. A faulty switch typically causes the wipers to stop mid-stroke rather than returning to the base of the screen.
Which Defender does this park switch fit?
This fits the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 with front wash/wipe from VIN DA440632 onwards. Earlier Defenders used a different wiper control setup. Confirm your VIN before ordering.
What are the symptoms of a faulty park switch?
A failed park switch typically causes the front wipers to stop wherever they are when switched off rather than parking at the base of the screen. In some cases the wipers may also run intermittently or fail to start on certain settings.
