Keerring voor het fuseelagerhuis op de vooras, afdichtend tegen het gepolijste oppervlak van de fuseekogel.

De keerring zit in de achterkant van het fuseehuis en loopt tegen de chromen fuseekogel, waardoor de olie in het fusee en de homokinetische koppelingskamer wordt vastgehouden, terwijl water, gruis en straatvuil buiten worden gehouden. Eén keerring wordt op elk fuseehuis gemonteerd.

Wordt normaal gesproken vernieuwd tijdens de revisie van het fuseehuis, samen met de fuseekogel, fuseehuisolie en gewrichtssmeer.

What is the RTC3528G swivel housing oil seal?
The RTC3528G is the oil seal for the front axle swivel pin housing. It seats in the rear face of the swivel housing and runs against the polished chrome swivel ball, holding oil inside the swivel and CV joint chamber while keeping out water, grit and road dirt.
How many of these seals are needed and when are they replaced?
One seal is fitted to each swivel housing, so a pair covers both sides of the front axle. It's normally renewed during a swivel overhaul, alongside the swivel ball, fresh swivel oil and the CV joint lubricant, since the seal is disturbed whenever the swivel is stripped.
Which Land Rovers does this swivel oil seal fit?
This swivel housing oil seal fits the Land Rover Series 1, Series 2 and 3, and the Defender up to 2016, which share the swivel ball front axle design. Confirm your axle uses the traditional chrome swivel ball setup before ordering.
What are the signs the swivel seal has failed?
A failed swivel seal typically shows as oil weeping from the back of the swivel housing, a greasy film on the inner wheel, or a dropping swivel oil level. Left unsealed, water and grit reach the CV joint and the swivel ball corrodes, so the seal is renewed as soon as leakage appears.
