Driving Member Bolt for the axle driving member assembly.

This 3/8" BSF x 1-19/32" bolt retains the driving member to the hub assembly. The driving member is the stub axle component through which rotational drive is transmitted from the differential half-shaft to the road wheel. These bolts should be inspected or renewed whenever the driving member is removed during hub or swivel service.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 215331 Driving Member Bolt do?
215331 retains the driving member to the hub assembly on Land Rover Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3 vehicles. The driving member is the stub axle component that transmits rotational drive from the differential half-shaft to the road wheel. These bolts secure that assembly at the hub.
Should 215331 driving member bolts be replaced during hub work?
Yes - these bolts should be inspected and typically renewed whenever the driving member is removed for hub or swivel service. They're high-stress fixings and reusing worn or stretched bolts risks them working loose. Keep a set on hand before any swivel or hub overhaul on Series vehicles.
Where on the vehicle does the 215331 bolt fit?
215331 is used at the front axle hubs on Land Rover Series 1, Series 2, Series IIA, and Series 3. It secures the driving member stub axle to the hub. You'll encounter it during swivel housing overhaul, wheel bearing replacement, or any work requiring the driving member to be withdrawn.
