The clutch cover is the pressure plate assembly. It bolts to the engine flywheel, and its diaphragm spring clamps the driven plate to transmit engine torque to the gearbox. Depressing the pedal frees that clamp. This one suits the 2.5L 200TDi and 300TDi diesel with the 5-speed manual gearbox.
Which Land Rovers does this clutch cover fit?
It fits the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic running the 2.5L 200TDi or 300TDi diesel with the 5-speed manual. On Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic fitment starts from specific VIN breaks, so check your chassis number to confirm the engine and gearbox combination.
Should I replace the driven plate and release bearing at the same time?
