Oil Thrower for the drive pinion in the Salisbury axle differential. It fits on the pinion shaft, between the drive flange and the pinion oil seal.

As the pinion turns the thrower slings lubricant back into the differential and away from the pinion oil seal, keeping the seal from being flooded and reducing the chance of oil weeping past the pinion nose. It is renewed together with the pinion oil seal when resealing the differential.
